Stella Chrone is a Miami-based contemporary artist working across bio art, glass, conceptual objects and living systems. Her work explores belonging, identity, community, survival and the structures that shape our lives, using unexpected materials and living metaphors to create intricate, thought-provoking worlds.

Central to Stella's recent artistic practice is a fascination with ant colonies and their complex systems of collective life. That interest emerged following her departure from a high-control religious environment, as she began examining questions of individuality, community and what it means to find a place where you belong.

Ants, glass, ecology and constructed environments became part of a new visual language through which Stella explores those ideas. Her work moves between the delicacy of glass and the resilience of living systems, creating a striking tension between fragility, structure and survival.
